  1. wanted--- a randonee setup, , for a woman.height 5'5", boots size 8-8.5 wms, mens 6-6.5. decent setup, like tr9 or denali's, diamir's or silvretta's. want to find at least a pair of boots if not more. only reply if interested, no dipshit replys please
  2. Just got back from a week and half in jasper. ice near jasper, such as Maligne canyon (if you want to deal with the spectators) is very in but dripping some days. ice down the parkway Polar Circus-very fat and inWeeping wall-lower fat, upper not touching downCurtain Call-fat, as well as the single pitch on climbers leftPanther-is in from what i could seeBridalveil-looks like it fellTangle Creek-in High avalanche danger over lot's of climbs. Check avy report
  3. to trask did i ever call this site trash? hell no! i enjoy seeing ice conditions posted and trip reports. and just because you gotta change bedpans at your hospital job, well hell man you got a shit fettish or something. but thanks for the entertaining comments, hope to see you climbing sometime
  4. wow trask you sound like an interesting guy. a mountaineer?
  5. to alex thank you for your understanding of my position. I did not post this topic to be called a crybaby or to piss everyone off, though i have found all the attacks pretty funny. i don't know these people on the site and they don't know me, yet they attack. In response to you saying to keep to the ice conditions page, i was on there and still found plenty of the spray. though i did see the disclaimer at the top asking for no spray. my comp doesn't handle the internet very well (would buy a better one but that would cost $$) anyways, you seem to be level headed on this topic and i thank you. for everyone. does having an online chatroom sound like a good idea? and no more bashes about my diapers. it's a medical problem, it's not my fault
  6. wow. i sure didn'tmean to piss everyone off.i like the stories about climbing and the commmunticating, but most of the posted material isnt' that. today i read a list of people talking about some army of darkness movie. it's quite obvious many people on this site are friends. why not use email or somehting. and no i haven't contributed much, most of my climbing is done in the can. rockies or alaska, and doesn't relate to this area.to capt caveman and everyone else who pounced on my post within the hour. i appreciate your input but you proved me right. if anyone has anything to say other than attacks, please post. maybe a solution, like an ongoing chatroom.
  7. I'm writing, or rather bitching, about the amount of chatroom style messages I see on this site. I use this site from time to time to check on ice conditions and route reports, and more than half the messages I see are crap. I think the people on cascade who work on a computer all day long and have nothing better to do should fire up there own chatroom and bullshit to each other. I hear messenger is good for this. I have a slow computer at home 28.8 and it takes me a while to download a page, and then i still have to sift through all the off topic messages to find what I want. I doubt this will affect the "spray" seen on cascade, I just wish people would use this site for it's intended use. For climbers, ABOUT CLIMBING!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. thanks for everyones input. it's still too warm to form, but i'll be lookin out for ice up 542. i hear banks lake isn't rockin rock, that's a bummer. anyone have info on iceclimb.com? they seem to have a nice setup for looking at 30 day temps for different ice spots.
  9. my question being does decent ice exist near bham on the baker hwy somewhere? i doubt it is formed now but i would rather drive up the hwy than out east if i can help it. i tried to ask some yocal gear shop guys but quickly figured they either didn't do ice or didn't know shit all about it. on an off topic last year i lost a pair of blue OR windstop gloves out in banks lake. not sure what climb it was, but it was really fat really late in the season, and had a 3 pin anchor at the top with blue webbing older webbing. if anyone happens across them....
  10. These boots are in good shape. they are mens 9.5 and are from a year or so ago. I would like to unload them for 80 bucks. Great mountaineering/ice boot, toe and heel welts in great shape. they haven't any laces, but those don't cost much. I'm in Bham so if you're in the area that'd be a plusdavid @ 360 676-7617 or email brody0@hotmail.combtw i am very broke so a reasonable offer wont be refused [ 01-07-2002: Message edited by: brody0 ] [ 01-08-2002: Message edited by: brody0 ]
  11. Took a WFR in Canmore, AB this winter. Great course, I wish everyone I go out and play with could take it.
  12. Yep, i dipshitted my gloves while out at banks lake last weekend. If anyone has come across a blue pair of OR windstopper gloves (really new) with Dave Perry written on the inside, i'd love to have them again.(near end of the ice climbing going east on hwy 2, area w/ two big climbs, the one on right is the thickest of any climbs out there) cheers
