  2. I've used both polarizing filters and a two stop neutral density filter with a through the lens meter, and had not exposure problems. I'd suggest you read what your TTL meter says both with and without the polarizing filter and see if it opens up when you add the filter. If it does, then your problem lies some place else such as overriding the film speed read off the film or developing error.
  3. A friend of mine ran into a fellow wearing golf shoes climbing on the Coleman Glacier.
  4. The downtown Nordstom carries some North Face jackets. Enough said.
  5. My guy is so burly, he doesn't need to come with a female. He is well capable of picking up his own.
  6. Yes but my guy is remotely controlled - a much higher ethical standard than your manual method.
  7. Ibex - Thanks for the info, it was just what I was looking for.
  8. I was by REI the other day and happened to remember I wanted to get a second cordelette. Miracle of miracles, they actually had enough 5.5 spectra in stock. The fellow who cut the cord for me told me that he had read that spectra cord should be retired sooner that perlon as the interior fibers break down sooner. However, when I asked him how much sooner, He gave me the RCA dog look and said he didn't know. (Unfortunately a too common experience there.) It sounds almost plausible so I thought I'd ask wiser heads. When would you retire a cordelette seeing use 20 times a year without holding a hard fall - one year? four years? Till death it does part?
