  1. The Volant is a great jacket ... for me cut just right. If you do go with it and don't get the hood at least have make sure it comes set up to add the hood later .. I believe it does or they will add the snaps for a small cost ... can't remember I've got an old one w/o the hood and to add it they have to rivet the snaps all the way through both layers of the collar.
  2. I noticed that Petzl-Charlet has a couple new piolets ... no mention of a hammer version ... one of these "Sum-Tec"s matched with a Aztarex hammer would be a pretty nice setup.
  3. $10 says you get a new Cobra
  4. not really a new idea Camp Vector Nanotech
  5. been good ... yeah it was a steal .. either $125 or 175 this morning for the whole setup
  6. happened upon this post on craigslist and thought I would pass it on, screamin' deal K2 AT setup
  7. Hey Sobo ... there not entirely useless, you could still use them for ... PULL !!!!! [img:left]http://img.mathcaddy.com/eric-bachelor/09.jpg[/img] [img:center]http://www.dazzleevents.co.uk/images/clay-pigeon.jpg[/img]
  8. my suggestion would be go with the ledges first and the Wilson second ... if there is avy danger, getting over to the Kautz can be just as risky .. regardless .. come with alternatives such as rock climbing at Smith or ice Climbing in BC or AB ... we would all sincerely hate to see a repeat of the Hood incident 2 years ago
  9. this site has really come a long way from it's original inception .. nicely done
  10. If you're serious about getting some, best shake a leg as Wild Country has stopped making these. Whatever the US distributor has in stock is it, I believe. that too bad ... they are one of the best values out there
  11. anyone had a chance to try the Simond Tornados yet?? [img:center]http://www.simond.com/images/prestations/A-SIMOND-46XXTORNAD-0002.jpg[/img]

    The Debate

Hardly ... they both sucked. A couple of months ago KZOK had a comedian on the Bob and Tom show who compared this election to having to cut off your leg ... the only choice you have is whether to cut it off above or below the knee. They are both poster children of a defunct, good ol' boy, two party political system in dire need of a real strong third party challenge. We've got the world we've got. Get used to it, get off your whiny fucking ass, and do something about it within the confines of the reality you were dealt. good thing Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela didn't just "get used to it" or work "within the confines of the reality" they were dealt see you at the poles

  14. My experience as well ..... As mentioned, it is compact and light, decent enough for "just in case" but I would not buy another one. I also seriously doubt BD's numbers when it comes to the "burn time" and "distance". There is no way in hell I get 50 hours and 34 meters out of the 1 watt LED. Mine has been demoted to camping and rafting trips only.

    CC.com Turns 8

Jon, Tim, Porter et all you mods ... thank you for all the time, effort and resources that you have put into this site. Having gleaned much more than I have contributed, I pledge to do better in the future.
  16. their grammar makes me think they are not a US Company, just an importer with an address/office in SoCal "Diagram 5 : GS CMAS require having large round support to replacement on the horizontal cracks."
  17. referring to this as "lost" obviously depends on your point of view, many could consider it "found"
  18. bump .. still have an opening in Western Washington .. pm me if interested
  19. I purchased one of the Alpenlite 30's last summer ... works well for ice climbing/1-2 day summer-fall over nighters, etc ... however the top lid flops around a bit to much unless it's fully stuffed. I've been looking at the Mountain Tools Jet Pack and Jet Stream for a while .. anyone ever owned/used one
