Trip Report:with the resent snow and stellar forecast decided to give Rainier one last quick summer hoorah. took a buddy up for his first glacier climb.
late season route length with mid-season conditions
with weather breaks should be in good through Sept.
ok snow up portions of the cleaver but gad i hate scree...i dont think i can do even a partially melted out cleaver again
couple fun sections on the traverse to the Emmon's shoulder
summit temps were chilly but bearable...prob chilled up there for an hour and a half...then back down for food
over all the slog to Muir was tedious...the route was in pretty good shape with all the snow
