Kyle sent me this card in 1988 while I was working in Zion.
He was a choss wall master and Desert pioneer, I first met while working at Devils Tower in the 1980's

We lost touch and he fell into ill health, finally pass in 2009 Sad
I recently found this out so I rummaged and found this card.
Old news but new to me.

RIP bud and I still have that route name in my files Smile

I met him perhaps 1990. Friend of friends (Any/Wendy Pitas & Sue Kemp). It was my first (of many) trips to Utah. I had an infant daughter, so my perspective on recreational danger was suddenly changed. I asked a lot of questions, and had some concern about the manky bolt protecting the 5.9 chimney on Castleton Tower (my first desert climb).
He showed up next morning, just ahead of us, and replaced that bolt.

Nice story wolffie! My memory serves a similar story, he was always super helpful and positive. I regret not contacting him before he passed.
