  1. Thanks Ryland. We're actually approaching from the N. so that would work out well.
  2. Plans elswhere got shat on and it looks as though I'll be heading up to climb theSisters next week. Has anyone done the South ridge of N sister lately? I'm wondering I'll need crampons for the traverse under Prouty...
  3. I thought everyone should know the real story, Caleb has a special descent route: He has frequented the area and has a massive army of marmots he has trained to burrow a network of human-sized tunnels so he can safely descend rockfall-free by crawling down the route underground (hence the sore knees). Beware, the marmot army in the Jefferson Park area are extrmely faithfull to Caleb and if you ask them for tunnels without his approval they will lead you down tunnels designed specifically to colapse and you will never be seen again.
  4. Goatboy- nice photos! Please tell me more. I have a good friend that just got a job in Stanley and I think I might be headed to visit him. Do you have any info on Warbonnet, Finger of Fate, etc?? Of course now I must climb that beautiful, beautiful crack in the photo too.
  5. DonnV- Excellent photos! Thanks for the info, I hope it stays cool enough to do the route, if not at least we'll have good views.
  6. Thaks for the input. We are hoping the nights will be cold enough to make the A.G. safe, but if it doesn't freeze up considerably we're planning on just cruising the N ridge. So, Devide Camp tr is faster than Killen Cr?
  7. Thanks for the info, but we decided to head for Adams Glacier as it is much closer and sounds like we might get good conditions. Have fun if you climb something soon (you should)
  8. Thanks for the input, Stu is about as far N as we want to drive (from Eugene) for a three day period. We're thinking of the Adams glacier as well, but it mat just be too hot. You lost a tool???? That sucks, where on the route?
  9. thank you!! have a fun, safe climb... the melt will happen, will the freeze??
  10. Perhaps all the wee Republicans out there could practice permanent abstinence??
  11. It seems like nobody's been up there for a while, but here goes: Has been up around the Adams Glacier lately, I'm mainly wondering about the aproach. If no one replies to this we might just have to go up there with no information Really, I'm scared, someone tell me if I should go...
  12. Yes, we had a few in mind, but my friend REALLY wants to do this climb (so do I, but I think we may wait on it for a few weeks) Any other suggestions? We were thinking Ice cliff or stuart glacier.
  13. if weather links excite you go to: http://geography.uoregon.edu/weather/index.html
  14. Thanks for the info. This is just one of a few climbs we may be going to do. I know we would have an easier time if we wait. Hmmmm
