I am visiting Seattle from the UK for the first time next week 11-15 April. Could anyone recommend a good walking route at this time of year that I can do with my (fit but non climbing) wife? Also any good easy ice routes that I could solo?

i was up there last weekend (3/10). the road is clear to about three or four miles from the trailhead or about an hours worth of hiking. a couple groups (snowmobilers) made it closer than we did, but they had the advantage of 4-wheel drive and a bit more weight. hope this helps your plans...
