  1. I'm looking for a partner for the above dates (4 days). Most appealing right now to me would be the NE Buttress of Goode. Also open to other options, especially trying to avoid the crowds. I live in Wenatchee, so I'd be coming from east of the crest. I have a fair amount of experience on snow, glacier, and rock, lead to 5.8. I drive a high ground clearance vehicle and am always happy to drive. Garrett garrettww@gmail.com 210-241-2291
  2. I'm looking for someone to climb some moderate stuff with me at Smith this weekend. I've only been there once before, so I don't know the area very well yet. I'm comfortable leading 5.8 sport, and can follow easier 5.10 routes. I have gear, transportation, and am based out of Portland.
  3. Thanks for the post! I am planning on climbing this route this weekend. Were the cairns easy to find? Any other route beta you care to share (places where it would be easy to get off route)? Would you recommend descending via the Cascadian Couloir? Thanks again.
  4. I have the upcoming weekend free and want to get out to do some moderate rock climbing. The weather may be an issue, but its too early to say for sure. I have some formal training and a reasonable amount of experience but am a newbie to leading trad, though I do have the gear. That being said, I am still willing to lead. I am also open to other options or ideas. Thanks!
  5. I believe the shoe fell out of my pack near the Exit 38 trail head for the Deception Crags (Trestles) area. It is a men's size 44.5, tan in color, and is the right shoe. Thanks for your help! The shoe was lost on July 22.
  6. Sherpa Glacier...this late in the season? This report from last year this time sounds a bit intimidating: (http://cascadeclimbers.com/trip-reports/alpine/mt-stuart-sherpa-glacier-9-10-2011-5951/). I don't have much experience on steep hard snow and/or ice.
  7. Yeah - I was just aiming for the easiest route since this would be my first time on Stuart, and I don't lead. I am open to the West Ridge if there is a capable and competent person looking for a follower.
  8. Looking to do a 1-2 day scramble of this objective next weekend. I am open to other options as well - especially if in the north cascades or enchantments area. I can follow up to 5.9 in the alpine. I lead sport but no trad. A bit about me: 32 y/o resident anesthesiologist at UW. I graduated from the Mountaineers basic climbing course a year ago. Recent ascents include: Rainier (DC), Little Tahoma, Cruiser, S.E. Winter Spire, Baker (Boulder Gl.)
