  1. If you have knowledge of Mr. Beckeys FAs, please feel free to fill in more info on this giant spreadsheet of his climbs. It is pretty self explanatory. This is on ongoing mapping project I have been working on, and would love to make it as thorough as I can. Spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1elZ7L5gC21PRUt0UE8XiTywlOk1rRjKmC_NzOA8YGjs/edit#gid=0 Here is an example of what data I have so far Fred Beckey Web Map Static Map I will keep updating the maps as the CSV continues to get filled in.
  2. Nice pics... is there enough coverage for a ski descent?
  3. 270$ Ordered this for a trip that fell through. This rope was never used, and is still in its factory coil, and was obviously stored indoors in dry place. I am in Seattle and would prefer a in person transaction.. however I would be willing to ship/paypal.. buyer pays shipping however.
  4. Finding weekday partners is hard! I have a partner lined up for Sat.. were thinking of Index or Darington.. If he bails Ill let you know tomorrow or if he is down for team of three
  5. Want to check the place out, maybe do one of the moderate multipitches? Never been before. Commuting from West Seattle, have rope rack car can lead 5.10
  6. or else where in Leavenworth? Coming from seattle, have rack rope and car. Can lead 5.10 sometimes -Ben 206 407793 six EDIT: Partner found
  7. Looking for partners wed-friday. Driving from Seattle
  8. Looking to get out to Index tomorrow and or next day. Let me know if you are looking to do the same and need a partner. At one point I could lead 5.10 at Index- now probably 5.9 to start with. I am down for craggin or multipitching. Coming form Seattle, can carpool.
  9. I am a climber and geographer freshly out of college and looking to get more experience under belt, as well as give back to the climbing community here in the NW. I am looking to VOLUNTEER creating maps and graphics for anyone creating a guidebook, publication, or any other climbing/skiing/outdoor related media- either online or print. When it is too rainy to climb I would love to make you great reference maps, approach maps, area maps, as well as enhance your topos and graphics to better show your data and help users get info more clearly. You would get a free good map or graphics and I would get experience (and maybe a free guidebook?). I have studied GIS, Cartography, and graphics in school, and done some work at the American Alpine Club on their publications one summer. Here is a (very low resolution) example of a fun map I made, showing (some of) Fred's first ascents http://cascadeclimbers.com/plab/showfull.php?photo=99976 Contact: blpontecorvo@gmail.com

  11. I am interested in carabiners and pickets, and checking out the pants and harnesses. Could swing by anytime tomorrow. blpontecorvo@gmail.com
  12. Looking to go to Index and spend a day practicing intermediate aid. I know this is not the most fun thing to do. But if anyone else wants to practice for bigger walls, OR someone with solid belay skills wanting to learn about gear placements could work , lemme know. I have rope, rack, and car (coming from Seattle). Very open next 7 days, let me know if you are eager and have a free day -Ben Pontecorvo 206 4077936
  13. My ax fell off my pack as I snowboarded down the southside of Hood Friday(4/11/14), could be anywhere from 1/2 mile above the Palmer lift to the parking lot. Any info please pm, that ax has astronomical sentimental value.

  15. Sick of the welded tuft at smith so I was thinking about going up leutholds solo on Thurs/Friday, and was wondering if anyone has been up that side of the mt recently? Cover of the route? How gaping are them crevasses? Avy concerns? Gear- snowshoes or skiis necessary? Two tools or one? Anyone want to join? Cheers -Ben P
