  1. I head up to AK to fish for halibut on Thursday 4/17 from Oakland, CA. Usually takes 7-10 days. Not sure what conditions are or will be like but, if things align it would be fun to make it back to the Stuart Range after fishing on the way south. I'm fine leading everything but it'd be better to team up with someone who wouldn't let me get away with that. 30 year old, safe, easy going but motivated to make it happen if I'm going to shlep gear up and down the west coast, pay for a stop over and spend extra time away from my son. Have to start the dialogue before Thursday morning. Best to reach me at tlappetito at gmail or 510 990 7547. Thanks! Tyler
  2. Early May is also a possibility. Any takers? Keeping the dream alive.
  3. Hey there, I'll be harvesting halibut out of Petersburg, AK in the middle of April and would like to head to the Ruth afterwards. I know timing and logistics are tricky and would probably only be a good match for someone who also has a fluid schedule. I can't predict exactly when fishing will finish. My hope is that weather and route conditions cooperate and you'll also be a position to take advantage of a window and purchase a last minute ticket. I'm comfortable leading any or all the cruxes. Hoping for a partner with good judgment and experience. This would be my first route in the range so I'm choosing something realistic. Really hoping to see these mountains firsthand. If interested in talking about logistics and experience shoot me an email at tlappetito at gmail dot com. Thanks, Tyler
  4. I'm up in Petersburg for a Halibut gig I do every year. I'm putting out the annual hope that a Stikine trip can finally materialize. I'll be up here until the middle of August. I hope to get back to the East Ridge of Devil's Thumb around my fishing schedule. A lot of moving pieces to pull off but is worth the effort despite the odds. So I'm looking for a partner able to pull of a smash and grab style trip. I'm friends with Deiter so I have beta. I can also arrange the helicopter with Wally. Drop me a line at tlappetito at gmail to exchange numbers if this is a possibility.
  5. i'm inexperienced but enthusiastic about climbing and want to get out there a lot this fall. i'm living in port townsend but am willing to climb anywhere. i'd like to rock climb before it gets too rainy but am also interested in learning how to travel on glaciers. i know this post is extremely general but anyone looking for someone to climb with can pm or email me at tlappetito@gmail.com i'd really appreciate any help or advice. thanks a lot.
