I always assumed stuck pro was the fault of the leader. Situation A definitely seems more complicated to me, especially if there are financial limitation for 1 or both parties.

Yeah, I can't speak to her comfort, but I don't think a rope would help there.

I'm not as adventurous as some I suppose, but I can't think of a single time I've been stopped by my car's abilities. I've definitely had to go very slow on a few occasions though. My vote would be to get something good for 98% of your driving, just deal with going slow occasionally, and for that last 0.2% of the time, make someone else drive. Snow tires on any car will get you at least as far as an AWD car on all-seasons.

I don't have anything helpful, but I've seen Ama Dablam and it is easily the most aesthetic peak in the region. I think it's a little beyond me in the next couple of years, but best of luck and I look forward to hearing how it goes!
