111
Grivel nonsense Is a "third tool" ever worth while? this seems really silly.
cheamclimber
I don't know, I've always thought the same thing!
swaterfall
You guys aren't skiers are you. It's a mislabelled picture.
cheamclimber
I think they're for extra security...you can hammer it in really deep and clip in, I just can't imagine using one.
sweatinoutliquor
oddly enough I think I was talking to one of their sales people a number of months ago and told them that their grivel photo stuff was all messed up... Glad they got right on fixing that up. That's a picture of their condor arrest grip (for skiing). Their third tool is the little ice hammer thingy with a red handle. I guess you are supposed to bring them so you have something if/when you drop one of your ice tools.
tvashtarkatena
I usually climb with only one other tool.
Weekend_Climberz
I usually climb with only one other tool. So now I'm a tool, huh? I'm gonna make you ride in the rocket box next time.
fenderfour
that sounds like a euphemism.
Dechristo
I was glad I and my partner brought a third tool after one of my tools pulled from its holster while on rappel and disapeered several hundred meters below ( no doubt into a huge crevasse). tvashtarkatena
I also lost a tool from a holster once. Gotta clip em in.
