shaneintherain Posted June 26, 2016 Share Posted June 26, 2016 I know it's super last minute, but one of our group members is no longer able to join us in our ascent of the south side/hog's back/old chute route on Mt Hood starting at midnight tonight for a planned 5am summit. Unfortunately, he was the only member of our three-person group who has summited Hood before. We would like to see if there is another group going up tonight that we could possibly join. We're in mountaineering shape, with some mountaineering experience (my friend has summited Adams and I recently did a snow ascent of St Helens, plus weekly hiking) with self-arrest training and appropriate gear.
