New to the PNW

Hi everybody!

I just moved out the to PNW about two weeks ago and volcano season is right around the corner! I am looking for some one that has a bit more experience than me and would be willing to show me the ropes! I prefer climbing ice and I hoping that I can learn some more about alpine ice and possibly some trad. I can lead ice at WI3 (3+ if I am feeling it) comfortably and reliably lead 5.9 sport. (pushing the limits at 5.10c for leading). I have a winter summit of Mt. Washington in NH and nearly made the summit of Sahale peak, but was turned around due to poor conditions.

Anyways, I am not looking to go nuts and climb 5.13 trad or any crazy alpine ice, I am just hoping to get out there and actually explore the mountains! I'd be happy to drive, buy beer and shoot the shit.

Thanks!

Ian

Hey Man

If no luck here, try one of the climbing gyms. Also a good place to start- good luck. Also once the bouldering season is in 100% just showing up to a crag is a great way to meet people and there are also a lot of summer climbing festivals as well
