Will be in Seattle in early October, and wondering about Glacier...road access likely to still be snow-free? Approach trails buried under 10 feet of snow already? Avalanche conditions? Kraken Posted August 13, 2005 Share Posted August 13, 2005 I was just on the North Sauk Trail up to Whitechuck and it was good weather. Everything up there is great. Fk Sauk to White Pass, then directly to draw of White Chuck glacier...then walk over the ice to the Glacier Gap and then up... was interesting in late Sept, expansive Wilderness...
