    The Marblemount ranger station is closed for the winter and the nps.gov page says Cascade river road is plowed up to mile marker 7 and closed to all traffic at mile marker 20 which is about the location we're trying to get to. I understand that snow is expected Wed and Thu so that will likely change road conditions. However, I'd like to know if anyone has driven beyond mm 7 these past few days and what they thought of driving conditions. In fact given that the info on nps is dated, it might be that even getting to mm 7 isn't possible. Any info/tips would be highly appreciated!

    Awesome! Yeah, I guess we're in different directions but let me pm you my number so we can figure out logistics. I know that a ton of people have been climbing Franklin falls around here. Someone I know was planning on taking a group to Skookum falls in the Mt.Rainier area, Fuggs falls at Vantage or Champagne which is probably what you were planning on in the Banks area? Not sure about other spots.

    I'm not very experienced but SO want to climb some ice! I'm only free on the 15th and 16th so if you're ok with my climbing along, that'd be awesome. Don't have any gear but can rent.

    If you're also the teaching type and wouldn't mind helping a fellow climber learn how to lead trad, I'd love to climb with you! I've some mountaineering experience, limited ice climbing experience and have recently started leading on bolts, so I'm definitely not at your level yet. Absolutely want to push my limits. Let me know if you want to climb sometime.
