  1. Stomping out breast cancer one snowshoe step at a time! The Romp to Stomp event offers participants a morning of celebration, fun and the opportunity to snowshoe on beautiful trails with free use of Tubbs Snowshoes. Rompers come in all ages, genders, and sizes, from the first time snowshoer to the weekend snowshoe warrior, we all have a race for all of them - 3k and 5k walk, 3k run, and 'Lil Rompers Dash.   2. Sat, 06/21/2014 - 10:45am to 5:00pm @ the Leavenworth Ski Hill events@skileavenworth.com The Bavarian Battle is a gnarly 5k obstacle run held in the Bavarian village of Leavenworth, Washington. Racers will jump, slide, run, climb, hop and crawl their way to the finish line. Want to be a sponsor for this radical event? Email events@skileavenworth.com. The proceeds from this event go to the Leavenworth Winter Sports Club.
  3. Sat, 02/22/2014 - 7:30am @ Mission Ridge events@skileavenworth.com The Hog Loppet is a non-competitive 30k Ski Trek from the top of Mission Ridge Ski Area to Blewett Pass. We strongly recommend using the shuttle bus service provided. It is not an event for first time skiers because there is some steep terrain and ungroomed conditions. Please read the route descriptions below. Online registration closes Thursday 2/20/14 at 1 p.m. You may register on Saturday at Mission Ridge.
  4. Tue, 02/04/2014 - 6:00pm @ the Leavenworth Festhalle events@skileavenworth.com Leavenworth Winter Sports Club is a small non-profit with a huge impact. LWSC manages over 26 km of Nordic trails, a downhill ski area and provides children recreational programs throughout the upper valley. Join in this annual fundraiser on February 4th, 2014. Enjoy hors d'oeuvres, an outstanding selection of silent auction items and live music.
  5. Sun, 02/02/2014 - 9:30am to 11:30am @ the Icicle Trails at the Leavenworth Fish Hatchery events@skileavenworth.com Join us for this 8 km WOMEN'S only event. Proceeds will be donated to The Wellness Place in Wenatchee. They provide direct services for breast cancer awareness. Participants can skate, snowshoe or classic ski, whichever they prefer. Timing is optional so if you want to race you'll get a bib number. Register online by Jan. 20th to receive the event shirt. Prize given to "Best Dressed Chick." Refreshments will be provided and lots of raffle prizes.

All children are welcome to participate and all proceeds will benefit the Junior Alpine Team. The Bakke Cup is really a 3-way race. Kids are encouraged to do at least 2 of the 3 events. The event is open to any youth ages 6 through 17.

The winning chili recipe will be featured on KOHO, and the winner will receive a great prize package. We need judges! (First come, first serve). A panel of professional judges will make the final decision. *NEW* This year we'll have a pepper eating contest. The last person to reach for milk wins some fun prizes! Leavenworth Winter Sports Club is proud to host KOHO Day at the Leavenworth Ski Hill just 1 mile from downtown on Ski Hill Drive.

Prizes awarded to the best costume. Awards & potluck: The first 25 to sign up receive an awesome mug. Awards and potluck BBQ to follow at the lodge. Bring a dish!   10. Sun, 01/19/2014 - 10:30am to 1:30pm @ the Leavenworth Ski Hill Looking for a winter activity that doesn't require a big investment in equipment, instruction and practice...like skiing? Then come on out and discover the fast growing winter sport of snowshoeing. If you can walk, you can snowshoe. You can checkout snowshoes from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Enjoy a special snowshoe trail at the Ski Hill. A bonfire will provide a warm welcome at the base. Ice Fest Snowshoe Relay Races Registration: 10:30 am Participants may check out snowshoes for 30 minutes. Last checkout is 1 pm. Relay Race Starts: 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm No skill required.   12. Sat, 01/11/2014 - 9:00am to Sun, 01/12/2014 - 7:45pm Stevens Pass Nordic Center The Bavarian Cup is a 2-day Nordic Race in classic and skate techniques. It is a Junior National Qualifier and J3 regional championship this year. All ages of competitive skiers are encouraged to register online and compete in one or both days. Spectators are also encouraged to attend. Race start times are listed below.
