  1. Looking to summit a moderate climb next week I have off three days and want to get out. Leading WI4,5.8, M5, Scottish Winter Grade IV, Commt.grade IV-V. I am comfortable on snow and ice Rock is my weak link. Can follow harder but not much more on rock 5.9 maybe 5.10a. Have a few certs. and expedition experience in Kyrgyzstan. PM if interested.
  2. Looking to climb Liberty Ridge on Rainier in April or May. April dates flexible May would be 12-16. I wanted to climb it before heading to expedition in Peru and Bolivia at end of May. I have past experience throughout the Pacific NW, Adirondacks, and two expeditions in Kyrgyzstan. I have my Alpine Mountaineering and Technical Leadership Cert. from American Alpine Institute, WFR, and AMGA SPI course. Would be open to alternate routes or objective of similar stature. PM if interested.
  3. I will be out in WA prepping for a trip to Kyrgyzstan. I wanted to climb Rainer via an intermidate route plus do another climb. I wanted to either go for Northface of Buckner or North Ridge of Baker. If I cannot find someone to climb with in the North Cascades I may just do Rainier a couple times. I have all needed gear and skills PM me with any questions. Thanks.
  4. I will be in the Cascade Region July - August and wanted to climb Rainer. I have been climbing for few years now, am very fit, and have alpine climbing and mountaineering experience. I would be up for any route. Current skill level: Rock-5.9-5.10, Ice-WI 3+ or NEI 3+, Mixed-M5, have completed many grade IV climbs as well. Email me if interested: gr.thomas@comcast.net I can also email you a full cimbing resume if you like.
  5. I will moving out west this summer and looking for people to climb with in July and August. I will not be working, just climbing so will be available any time to climb any where. My experince involves mostly 5.9 and under trad or sport routes in my current area (Baltimore DC) and a few from Red Rocks (Ice Box Canyon). I have my Wilderness First Responder Certification (WFR) from Wilderness Medical Associates International, Alpine Mountaineering & Technical Leadership Certificate from the American Alpine Institute, and will be taking my Single Pitch Instructor Course (SPI) from American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) in July. My technical and skills knowledge are good I just need more experience and field application. I am working on getting back up to my 5.10b level where I was a about a year ago. I just do not have that many options to climb here so I often do not and as a result have dropped back to 5.9. I will be working diligently to get up to par before my move out west. I feel I should be comfortable leading 5.9 by the time I get out there. I have a full rack and back ups of cams and stoppers, ropes, all camping gear, guide books, and am driving out in my Jeep that is set up for mountain use. My email is gr.thomas@comcast.net
  6. If all goes according to plan I should be in the North Cascades area July on, to go climbing. I will be there soley to climb and train. I have no work or other commitments other than climbing. I can climb rock (trad or sport), ice, and feel as comfortable as one can on glaicers. I have all my own gear.
