Shell has integral hood, velcro closures on sleeves and front flap, multiple exterior pockets, and pit zips. May be worn separately or zipped together for a versatile and functional 3-in-1 layering system. $85 shipped. Now on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300874173530
  2. The North Face "Summit Series" fleece jacket with Gore "Windstopper" laminate in very good condition. Size is men's large. This soft shell jacket is windproof, breathable, water repellant and has pit zips. Top zipper pull (the flip out tab) on front zipper is missing, but does not affect zipper function. Selling 'cuz I just acquired another one. $60 shipped to lower 48.

    Snowshoe Advice

I use some older Atlas 825s and I like them. Fairly lightweight with adequate float. Going used is great, but inspect your intended purchase closely for corrosion, bad rivets, torn deck material, worn straps, etc.
  4. Backcountry travel calls for wearing a good beacon. I just bought a pair of Ortovox Patrollers because I like the small size and features. All modern (i.e., digital) avi beacons will follow a flux line and get you close to the transmitting beacon, but do your research for the one with features that appeal to you. Anyone will tell you the best avi beacon is the one you practice and get proficient with.
  5. SOLD. Thanks, MK! See pics at: http://www.mountainproject.com/v/for_sale__wanted/fs__tnf_nebula_fourseason_tent/107088912
  6. --SOLD-- These are classic, bomb-proof ice tools by Charlet Moser with bent shaft. One axe with adze and one with hammer -- both in very good condition with just a few scratches from normal use. Picks just sharpened, and both axes come with new grip tape and BD "Lockdown" leashes. $140, plus ten bucks for shipping to CONUS.
