  1. On behalf of the Vertical World Climbing Team, I would like to thank Steve Swenson, and all the people that came out to the event! The money raised will help team members that otherwise could not afford it to travel to National & International climbing competitions. www.teamverticalworld.com
  2. Members of the Vertical World Climbing Team travel next week to Sacramento CA to attend the USAC Division 1 Championship event. This is the 2nd stop on the way to the US Youth National Event in SLC in July. The goal is to make the US Team, and attend the Youth World Championship in France in August. Please come out and hear Steve, and support the kids effort in pursuit of their goals!
  3. My son lost his wallet while climbing at World Wall 1 while climbing today. Please call if you found it 206-245-4639. Nothing of value unless you are a High School student. Will pick up. A very big thank you to Adam from Everett who found the wallet, and returned it! It even had the $6.00 and ASB card in it still!
  4. Steve Swenson is the current president of the American Alpine Club and a member of the Seattle Vertical World. He will discuss his forthcoming trip to an unclimbed 7,500 meter peak in the eastern Karakoram in India as well as climbing in Pakistan, China, and Patagonia. Seattle REI, June 24th 2009, 7:00pm The Vertical World Climbing Team is one of the best in the nation:  2009 First Place National Youth Bouldering Champions  2008 First Place National Youth Bouldering Championships  2007 Second Place National Youth Sport Climbing Championships  2006 First Place National Youth Sport Climbing Championships These dedicated climbers work hard every day to qualify for divisional and national events, yet not all of them can afford to participate at these higher levels due to the added costs. Last year, team members traveled to Colorado, Utah, and California to compete at the National and Divisional levels. Team members represented the U.S. Climbing Team at the World Championships in Sydney, Australia and Montreal, Canada. You can help our youth climb and win with a gift to: Vertical World Climbing Team Fund, PO Box 221008, Seattle, WA 98122 or by contacting CinniF@msn.com. 4048.pdf
