Just a word of warning, there is still a ton of snow (for end of July). I camped at Green Lakes two weeks ago (lakes right in between S.Sister and Broken Top) and we hit snow less than a mile from the trailhead and hiked through it for more than 70% of our 5.5 mile jaunt. I've read there is snow on S. Sister all the way to the summit ridge. The snow seems about a month behind schedule, so it might be a tad slower going than you expected.

Hi, I'm newish to the boards here but I thought I'd give it a whirl. I live in Bend and need partners for Smith (or anything else in the area for that matter~). I'm just getting over an injury I had in March, but it doesn't seem to be giving me any trouble. Anywho, I lead up to 5.8ish sport and 5.7ish trad, could probably follow easy 5.10 (it's been so long...). I have a pretty full rack, a couple ropes ect. I work at home and make my own schedule so I'm pretty wide open to climb whenever.
